1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Dini Ilm. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "Student") and Dini Ilm ("Dini Ilm," "we," "our," or "us"), an online Quran and Islamic education platform operating from Islamabad, Pakistan, accessible at https://diniilm.com (the "Website").
By accessing our Website, creating an account, booking a free trial, or enrolling in any of our courses (collectively, the "Services"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
2. About Dini Ilm and Our Services
Dini Ilm provides one-on-one online Quran and Islamic education through live video sessions delivered by certified tutors. Our Services include, but are not limited to:
- Online Quran reading and Tajweed classes for children and adults
- Noorani Qaida foundational Arabic alphabet courses
- Quran memorization (Hifz) programs
- Quran translation and Tafseer courses
- Basic Islamic education for children covering Salah, Kalimas, and core beliefs
- Qira'at recitation styles instruction
All classes are delivered live through secure video conferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Class scheduling, tutor matching, payment, and progress tracking are managed through our Website and authorized communication channels including email and WhatsApp.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 Adult users
To register an account and enroll directly, you must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a legally binding contract under the laws applicable to you.
3.2 Minors
Students under the age of 18 may use our Services only with the explicit consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must:
- Create and manage the student account
- Agree to these Terms on behalf of the minor
- Provide accurate billing and contact information
- Remain available during class sessions for younger children where appropriate
- Take full responsibility for the minor's conduct on the platform
If you are a parent or guardian enrolling a child, you confirm that you have the legal authority to do so and accept these Terms on the child's behalf.
3.3 Account information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@diniilm.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Free Trial
Dini Ilm offers a three (3) day free trial to all new students. During the free trial:
- No payment is required, and no payment method is collected before the trial begins
- You may attend up to three trial sessions with a tutor
- You may cancel the trial at any time before the third session ends without obligation
- At the end of the trial, you may choose to enroll in a paid plan or decline to continue
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial offer at any time, including its duration and structure.
5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payment
5.1 Subscription plans
After the free trial, continued use of our Services requires enrollment in a paid subscription plan. Current plans include:
- 5 days per week (20 classes/month)
- 3 days per week (12 classes/month)
- 2 days per week (8 classes/month)
- Weekend Special (8 classes/month)
Plan prices are published on our Pricing page and may be updated periodically. Existing students will be notified at least thirty (30) days before any price increase affects their renewal.
5.2 Billing
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
- Payment is processed at the start of each billing cycle through our authorized payment processors (including credit card, bank transfer, and digital wallets where supported)
- All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated
- You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the chosen plan and any applicable taxes
5.3 Late or failed payments
If a payment fails or is delayed, we reserve the right to suspend class delivery until payment is received. We will attempt to contact you to resolve the issue before suspension.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
6.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing info@diniilm.com or messaging us through our official WhatsApp number. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month — classes already paid for remain accessible until that period ends.
6.2 Refunds
- Free trial: No payment is collected, so no refund applies.
- Monthly subscriptions: Refunds are available within seven (7) days of the most recent payment if no more than four (4) classes have been attended in that billing cycle. Refund requests outside this window will not be granted.
- Promotional discounts and multi-month packages: Non-refundable once payment is processed. These packages may include written terms that override the standard refund policy at the time of purchase.
To request a refund, email info@diniilm.com from the email address associated with your account, including your full name and reason for the request. We aim to process refund decisions within five (5) business days.
6.3 Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback through your bank or card provider without first contacting us constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in account termination. We encourage all billing concerns to be raised directly with us first.
7. Student and User Conduct
You agree to use our Services responsibly and respectfully. Specifically, you will:
- Treat all tutors, staff, and other students with respect and courtesy
- Maintain modest and appropriate attire during video sessions
- Attend scheduled sessions on time and notify us in advance of unavoidable absences
- Provide an environment conducive to learning during sessions (quiet space, working internet, functional audio/video)
- Not record, screenshot, redistribute, or publish any session content, tutor likeness, or course materials without prior written consent from Dini Ilm
- Not use the Services for any purpose that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or contrary to Islamic ethical principles
- Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any individual or entity
Violation of these conduct standards may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
8. Tutor Conduct and Session Standards
Our tutors are vetted, certified Islamic educators who agree to maintain professional conduct in all sessions. We commit to:
- Assigning tutors based on student preference (male or female) where requested
- Maintaining a child-safe environment with monitored sessions for minor students
- Providing tutors who hold relevant qualifications and, where applicable, Ijazah certification in Quran recitation
- Responding promptly to any concerns raised about tutor conduct
If you experience any conduct issue from a tutor, please report it immediately to info@diniilm.com. We investigate all reports seriously and take action where warranted.
9. Session Recording and Privacy
By default, Dini Ilm classes are live and not recorded unless:
- A student or parent explicitly requests a session recording for review purposes
- Dini Ilm records a session for tutor training or quality assurance, in which case students will be notified beforehand
Any recordings created remain the property of Dini Ilm and may not be redistributed by the student. Our handling of personal data, including any voice or video recordings, is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Parents of minor students have the right to observe sessions in real time and may request that no recording be made under any circumstances.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Dini Ilm property
All content on the Website, including but not limited to course curricula, lesson plans, written articles, videos, images, branding, logos, and the "Dini Ilm" name, is the exclusive property of Dini Ilm or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Dini Ilm content without prior written permission.
10.2 Quranic and Islamic content
We acknowledge that the Holy Quran, authentic Hadith collections, and core Islamic teachings are not the property of any individual or organization. Our courses incorporate this universal knowledge with original instructional design, supporting materials, and pedagogy that remain Dini Ilm property.
10.3 Limited license to students
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use our Services and any provided materials solely for your personal educational use during your active subscription.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, if:
- You breach these Terms
- Your conduct endangers the safety of tutors or other students
- You engage in fraudulent activity, including chargebacks initiated without prior contact
- Your account is inactive for more than twelve (12) consecutive months
- We are required to do so by law
Upon termination, your right to access the Services ends immediately. Any prepaid amounts for unused future months will be refunded on a pro-rata basis, except where termination results from your breach of these Terms.
12. Disclaimers and Service Availability
Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for consistent quality and reliability, we do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted access to the Website or session platforms
- Specific learning outcomes, including memorization speed or recitation proficiency
- Continued availability of any particular tutor
Technical issues, internet outages, and force majeure events (including natural disasters, government actions, internet shutdowns, and pandemics) are beyond our control. We will work in good faith to reschedule missed classes due to such issues.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dini Ilm, its founders, directors, employees, and tutors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or learning progress due to technical failure
- Inability to access sessions due to internet or platform downtime
- Disputes between students and tutors outside the scope of our Services
In any event, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to Dini Ilm in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dini Ilm, its founders, employees, tutors, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party right
- Your misuse of the Services or any content obtained through them
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms will first be addressed through good-faith direct negotiation between you and Dini Ilm. If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Islamabad, Pakistan.
This provision does not limit your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
16. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we do:
- The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will be revised
- For significant changes, we will provide reasonable notice via email and/or a notice on the Website
- Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
If you do not agree with any change, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Services and cancel your subscription.
17. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dini Ilm.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- No waiver: Failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a business sale or restructuring.
