ABOUT DINI ILM

Dini Ilm (diniilm.com) is an online Quran academy that has provided live one-on-one online Quran classes for kids and adults since 2018. Our Ijazah-certified male and female tutors teach Quran reading, Noorani Qaida, Tajweed, Quran memorization (Hifz), Quran translation, Tafseer, and basic Islamic studies to students around the world. Classes are 30 minutes for Quran reading, Noorani Qaida and Tajweed, and 45 to 60 minutes for Hifz, Translation and Tafseer.

Every new student starts with a 3-day free trial. After the trial, students who wish to continue choose a monthly plan and pay through one of our available payment methods. Students can cancel at any time.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Dini Ilm ("we", "us", "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit our website, book a free trial, enroll in classes, or contact us (the "Services"). Our website is powered by Shopify. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES DINI ILM COLLECT?

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

- Contact details: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, and time zone.
- Student details: the student's name, age, gender, current Quran reading level, chosen course, teacher preference (male or female tutor), and preferred class times. For child students, a parent or guardian provides this information.
- Class information: attendance, lesson progress, teacher notes, monthly test results, and class recordings.
- Payment information: your chosen plan, the payment method you used, the sender's name, the transfer or transaction reference number, and payment confirmation.
- Communications: messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, phone, or website forms, and any reviews or testimonials you submit.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, and how you use our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

HOW DOES DINI ILM COLLECT THIS INFORMATION?

- Directly from you, when you fill out the free trial form, enroll, pay, submit a review, or contact us.
- Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
- From service providers who support our website, classes, and payments.

HOW DOES DINI ILM USE YOUR INFORMATION?

- To run your free trial: scheduling your 3-day trial classes and assessing the student's current level.
- To provide classes: matching the student with a suitable Ijazah-certified tutor, delivering live lessons, tracking progress, and sending monthly test results to parents.
- To communicate with you: class reminders, schedule changes, progress updates, and replies to your questions.
- To process payments: confirming your monthly fee and managing your enrollment, including cancellations and refunds.
- For quality and safety: classes are monitored and may be recorded for teacher training, quality control, and student safety. Recordings can be provided to the student's parent or guardian on request.
- For marketing: to send you updates about our courses. You can opt out at any time.
- For security and legal reasons: to prevent fraud, protect our Services, and comply with applicable law.

HOW ARE PAYMENTS HANDLED?

The 3-day free trial requires no payment. After the trial, monthly fees are paid through the payment methods we make available, which include money transfer services such as Western Union. These payments are processed by the payment provider you choose, under that provider's own privacy policy. We receive only the details needed to confirm your payment, such as the sender's name, amount, and reference number. We do not store bank card numbers.

HOW DOES DINI ILM PROTECT CHILDREN'S PRIVACY?

Many of our students are children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child without the involvement of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian books the trial, enrolls the child, and provides the child's information.

We collect only the information needed to teach the child. We do not sell children's personal information or use it for advertising.

Parents and guardians can sit in on any class, and can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete their child's information or class recordings by emailing info@diniilm.com.

WHO DOES DINI ILM SHARE INFORMATION WITH?

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

- Our tutors and academy staff, to deliver and supervise classes.
- Video class platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, which host the live lessons.
- Payment providers, to confirm your payments.
- Shopify and other service providers who support our website, communications, and data storage.
- Authorities or other parties where required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of our students.
- A successor business in the event of a merger or sale.

WHAT IS DINI ILM'S RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY?

Our website is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of the website in order to provide and improve it. Information you submit may be transferred to Shopify and third parties located in countries other than where you live. WHICH THIRD-PARTY SERVICES DOES DINI ILM USE?

WHERE IS YOUR INFORMATION PROCESSED?

Dini Ilm's main teaching operations are based in Islamabad, Pakistan. Some of our tutors and staff work from other countries, and our service providers may also be located abroad. As a result, your information may be transferred, stored, and processed outside the country where you live. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

HOW LONG DOES DINI ILM KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. If you cancel your classes, you may ask us to delete your information. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no security measure is perfect.
